This gives the Racquet Sports department a strong voice in the
development of Racquet Sports throughout the city.
More than 24, 000 players have participated in Badminton and table
tennis during the past 12 months. Pathways from participation to
performance levels offer players of all ages and abilities the
chance to enjoy both sports.
The department organises or assists with events all over the city
from BADMINTONscotland Primary Sportshall Challenges to Adult Recreation
tournaments, Coach Education courses and overall development of
both sports.
Badminton World Team Championships 2007
From Sunday 10th to Sunday 17th June 2007, Scotland welcomed the
world's stars of badminton and thousands of spectators to the
Sudirman Cup World Team Badminton Championships at Scotstoun International
Arena, Glasgow.
