Glasgow has always been the footballing capital of Scotland, and the game continues to be the city's favourite sporting pastime.
Culture and Sport Glasgow's Football Development Section offers a comprehensive and varied programme for all. Last years programme had over 144,000 attendees and this year even more are expected to participate.
Culture and Sport Glasgow has an extremely strong relationship with the Scottish Football Association to develop football within the city, it promises to be an exciting time to be involved in the development of the national sport.
The Football Section is currently made up of;
Graham Diamond — Senior SFA Football Development Officer (North CHCP)
Gary Doctor — SFA Football Development Officer (South West CHCP)
Alan Sharp — SFA Football Development Officer (East CHCP)
Stuart Smith — SFA Football Development Officer (South East CHCP)
Vacant — SFA Football Development Officer (West CHCP)
David Clark — Football Coordinator
Coach Education course are delivered by the Football Development Officer's above.
The coaching service is delivered by a team of over 30 SFA Level 3 qualified coaches working all across the city, delivering Culture and Sport Glasgow courses such as Fun 4's, Mini Kickers, Pre Booked, Community Clubs and SFA partnership initiatives such as Bank of Scotland Soccer One and SoccerG in Secondary schools, Bank of Scotland Midnight League's, Street Football and McDonalds in Primary schools.
