Outdoor Activities

'Getting more people, more active, more often’ is our commitment.

How? By offering more activities designed with the beginner in mind or at those who do little exercise at present but know the benefits that building even some activity regularly into people's daily life can bring.

  • We have walking programmes for the complete beginner through to those ready & fit for the hills.
  • Running programmes for complete novices through to our regular Running Network and courses for those keen to try the Women’s 10k for the first time.
  • We’re committed to a new programme of Outdoor Adventure opportunities for young people.
  • Programmes that support better health for those with particular medical conditions or whose those who have been advised by their GP that some regular exercise will help their overall health.
  • Funding has also been awarded to the team from New Opportunities PE and Sport (NOPES) to deliver exciting holiday programmes for young people.
