Sports The West of Scotland Institute of Sport currently work with 119 athletes across seven of the nine 'core 1' sports identified by sportscotland. These nine sports were also the first to be inducted to the Scottish Institute of Sport. The seven sports that the WSIS currently work with are:
There will also be a review held to determine when 'Core 2' sports are inducted into the institute. SelectionSelections to the WSIS sport programmes are carried out yearly with nominations being made from governing bodies in the first instance.
